Review: Disk Doctors Windows Data Recovery

So here I go - another review of a high-end Data Recovery Software. This one is about "Windows Data Recovery" by Disk Doctors, which I purchased not long ago in order to try out a product from the upper price class ($129.99). I was especially curious about how this one would compare against DT Utilities' "Recover Lost Files", which is my favorite at the moment because of it's great performance while having a price tag of only $59.99 (see the review below).

PROs:
- Just like "Recover Lost Files", "Windows Data Recovery" is able to perform indexing of deleted files on all kinds of mediums you can plug into your computer
- Image file creation is supported, which is great for preventing data loss
- When opening the program, a wizard guides you through the whole process, making "Windows Data Recovery" easy to use for everyone
- The scanned files are displayed in a way resembling the windows explorer. A 10-year-old could operate this program. Just Great in terms of ease of use!
- The test every program I review has to undergo was mastered really well. Disk Doctors' program was able to recover all the files that were not overwritten, yet. DT Utilities' software performed a tiny bit better though
- Searching capabilities contain a pretty wide range of possible alternatives concerning scanning speed, data type, etc. More than enough!

CONs:
- The high Price ($129.99)
- If you only need to scan a NTFS data system, you may consider buying the cheaper version of this program - which then can only handle NTFS though (same goes for FAT, FAT16,FAT32). Somehow strange.
- The English version of their website was clearly translated by a program. So, if you don't understand something on there, you've gotta call them.

Summary:
Concerning the performance, this program is simply great. I found the ease of use especially comforting. I would definitely recommend this software to anyone, who is not very experienced when it comes to the use of computers!

See you soon!
